Hey guys, I was hoping someone would have the same motor or know the year and make of this motor. I am trying to buy a used outboard rather than having to rebuild mine. The seller of this outboard says he thinks it's a 1993 Mercury 150 Black Max XRI. There is nothing on the cowling that indicates that it's an XRI. I thought it would have been displayed under the Mercury label on the cowling? Plus, there is the "blue" stripe on the cowling. I thought "blue" was on the early 80's model. He couldn't find the serial number but found "1599570986" somewhere on the motor. I couldn't reference anything with that number on Mercury's website. Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
