Yes, that will work. You can side mount the switch or dash mount it...... dealer's choice :) on where it should be. Usually I have always had them in a bass boat and other boats with outboards..... I really have never had one in an I/O.

i am not sure what a 357 has to do with anything...

I just wanted some advice on a kill switch like the new boats come with so in case the driver goes overboard the boat will shut off and not run away.

SOrry that was ment to be a JOKE what you posted before is the solution, it was my error in thinking you were going to do what Bob_VT was suggesting

Again I apologize profusely

Yup, its fine. I have one in my boat. Its a universal switch, so it will work by closing to ground or by opening a circuit.

The PFD that I wear all of the time, has a a d-ring sewn into it for use with a kill switch lanyard, so its very easy to use. It will take you a little while to get used to being "tethered," but its not a big deal.

no problem at all.... But sometimes at some of the smaller lakes around here ( the ones that only let you go in one counter-clockwise direction, a runaway boat could be a very bad thing headed for the beach where families are swimming...)

But sometimes i worry about the bad things too much i guess.
