i bought a 1969 Johnson 25 hp Motor.<br /><br />the Model is 25rl69d... i know what the 25 and the 69 are, what do the rest mean?<br /><br />thanks in advance.<br /><br />Tom

The 'R' stands for rope start and the 'L' stands for long or 20" shaft.The 'D' is an insignificant model run number and means nothing to the consumer.In 1980 the year model was changed to a two letter code instead of the last two number digits of the year
