...I'll bet its coming down from the great lakes area (as usual). Thats the snow and cold belt.
Out here on Vancouver Island (just northwest of Seattle) we haven't seen snow in nearly two months. Even then it was unseasonal for us to get much.
Today the sun is out, the grass needs cutting and supposed to be in the low-mid 50's today (around 10-12 Deg. C). Spring is now underway for us...but it is never soon enough for me.
Regardless, I'll put in a word with some of my buddies back in Ontario to turn down the A/C.

Yesterday here in Atlanta we had an all day snow I was sick so I didn't even go out to look at it today most of it is gone,please keep the white stuff away from us

My sister who lives in Nanaimo had to take her daughter to work one day last week as her school was closed due to snow!

uh yeah, close the friggen door PLEASE! Wind chill this morning -8*F and where was I? Up on the stores roof fixing the heat. I needed to order parts so I had them sent normal ground. That way by the time they get here, it will hopefully be close to the freezing mark

Mike, you're almost right on with that...BUT, that swath of snow/cold went through Nanaimo (& Duncan) and through Vancouver, particularly Langley.
Believe it or not, we didn't get an iota of it.
What is sort of funny is I have a buddy that works in Duncan/Nanaimo area and another over in Langley. We were all in touch last week on that snow day....and they were both getting hit...and I was getting away with nothing but some cooler air.
Either way, its been an odd year for weather but what the he__ spring is on the way.
As well, I guess I shouldn't speak for all of the Island (just the south end I suppose)....because further up they do get hit more often with the white wonder for sure. My sister live in the Comox valley and I think they got it as well.

we have a warm front coming it was 40f (maybe) yesterday, 53f today, and the weather people are saying its gonna be 79f thursday and 80f friday ..............wooooohooooooo..........im goin fishin!

mphy98, that was crazy today. I have never expirienced lake effect snow that way before. Usually we get some here when that happens since I am only 10 miles from the lake. It was SUNNY all day. Not a cloud in the sky, and yet 15 miles SE they get 16" of snow. CRAZY.

Forecast here for this weekend....warm and sunny with highs in the mid to upper 70's. Great weather, with one problem.

I can't go fish. The river is at 30.54 feet, flood stage is 35 feet. Normal for the river is 18 feet. The ramp is under water and the current is running way faster than could ever be considered safe. I guess we will stay home and clean the boat up this weekend.

Sorry to all of you still iced in I'll get my fan out and point it north.
