I have a problem keep the boat plane in the water, so I bough the stabilator for the lower unit it didn't help, I bought 24 pitch propeller. Now still make a big wave but when it reach certain speed the boat level on his own and speed up. As long as I keep the speed the boat is leveled, but once I reduce the speed the noise go up and no power just the big waves. This is a 1986 Johnson 150HP V6 any help will be appreciated.

Your boat will not plane out until it reaches a certain speed that your hull will plane at. It will drop off plane just as easily when you slow down and then to plane out you have to lift the hull out of the water again so it will drop back on plane. Set up of your outfit is vitally important as well. Load, motor height, trim, type of hull and weight distribution of all people and equipment in the boat.
Search around the forum for a similar scenario to yours for some ideas. Failing that you need to post your set up with photos if possible showing the stern of the boat and the outboard in the down position. This will be a start for everyone.

as said above, the boat has to be balance, if everything is in the stern, plus, several people. you need to move some weight forward. when first taking off, you motor should be trimmed all the way down, then trimmed out, and as you slow, you lower your trim, to keep the bow down.
also the installation of smart tabs will improve your situation.

what noise are you talking about, sounds like you are trimmed to high, and prop is ventilating.

Once you have the boat up on plane, you need to trim the motor out so that the anti-ventilation plate above the prop is parallel with the water. It takes a little getting used to. You might have to raise your motor if it is digging in too much.

24 pitch is a lot; how big is the boat?

The boat has 19 pitch, then i bought 24 pitch hopping to fix the keep the it plane. The bass boat Tidecraft is a 17"5', 150HP, v6. It was just me 200 pd and it still do the same thing. Thank you all for your help.

Going up in pitch is like shifting to a higher gear - you get less torque - like locking your vehicle in 4th gear and trying to go uphill from a standing start.

Your engine needs to be able to make close to 6000 RPMs at WOT - 5 additional inches of pitch will rob you of around 1000 RPMs.

The situation you described in your original post sounds pretty close to normal.

First, make sure your motor is making all the power it should. Do a compression test and spark test.

Then put the 19 inch prop back on and follow the advice above about operating the trim switch. all the way in to start, then after you get on plane, bump it out a little at a time until raising the trim makes the RPMs go down instead of up.

Let us know what RPMs you're getting at full throttle.
