After I signed up on my home computer it worked fine. Then while bored at work I went on. Now I can't access Iboats from home, I get the "can not find server" internet explorer error message. The main page won't even load  . Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I haven't changed any of the settings on my computer or browser. Thanks for the help... of course it will be tomorrow before I can see the responses and try anything... Thanks for the help.

Re: Can't access Iboats from home

Can you get to other sites from home - preferably one that you haven't visited before? Also, see if you can PING iboats. Go to the command prompt and type in "ping www.iboats.com". See what happens. If you can't PING iboats, try "ping "209.63.105.8", which should be the IP address for the iBoats website. The reason for this is to narrow down the cause of your problem It could be a setting in your PC or somewhere in the network.

G'day KA.

See the thread regarding non access of iboats under "Back on line" in the good news area. It seems iboats has barred certain IP numbers.

Mark. :(

After checking the other thread, and trying to ping Iboats from the command prompt its true. My IP has been blocked!! For the Administrators, How can I get onto Iboats from home? Thats where all my pictures are, so now I can't post pictures. And the weekends are long and grueling because I can't get to Iboats. Thanks for any help.

Have you tried clearing your cache and deleting the cookies?

Re: Can't access Iboats from home

have you determined who is blocking your IP address, or even if it is your IP address? It could be a problem with your DNS server. Have you tried using the IP address instead of www.iboats.com? If not, try using http://209.63.105.8/ this is the direct IP address of iboats. If the IP address works, the DNS server you are using is a prime suspect, and you should contact your ISP to help you to troubleshoot the problem.

If the IP address doesn't work, make sure you don't have a firewall on your computer that is blocking the traffic. If that doesn't work, then you need to get your ISP to step up to finding, and fixing the problem.

Re: Can't access Iboats from home

See the thread a couple of pages back Iboats offline overnight. Try doing a tracert to 209.63.105.8 when its not working and compare it to when it is working , that will tell you where it dies.
If the ping fails at the last 3 routes then post your Ip address here and the powers that be will flick a switch and make it all happen. Not sure why anybody would want to block ranges but there you go.
