Can't find bl/gr pull thru wires to drop L/U

I have a '74 70hp 'Rude L/S and I want to drop the lower unit. The manual says I must disconnect a blue and green wire and attach an extra length of wire to each before dropping the unit. The problem is that I cant find these two wires. Can anybody help me with this?

starboard side of motor, rear if the throttle linkage.

There are no wires on a 1974 70 hp.

very true missed that part. shift linkage has to be disconnected.

You are right, no wires. I missed that in my Solec manual. Thanks for your time and help.
