Can't find Mercury outboard year.

I'm trying to find the year of 150 hp Mercury outboard for a friend. I have tried 4 different cross references and none of them show his motor. The serial number he has given me is OTO66527. Any light you can shed will be appreciated. Thanks

I am pretty sure its a 2001.
