Hi folks.
I have a 1984 chris craft scorpion 215 with a GM mercruiser 305 5.0L. The motor was taken from another boat and all I have is the motor serial number. The carb is a 2 barrel. The only number I could find on it was a no go at the auto parts store cross check. Any help appreciated. The motor is probably between 1985-1989....
If pictures hel I will post some later.
Thanks,
Les.

After much research on the web, I figured out it was actually a 1996-97 Mercarb 2 barrel, at least by the resemblance of the 2 carbs.
Anyone know about the rebuild kit?

Rochester and Mercarb are different. How many mixture screws do you have?

Hi there, If you could you post the engine serial number and a photo of the carb, it may help confirm an ID to help find the correct rebuild kit part number.

Take the whole Carb into a NAPA store and let them cross reference it.They have marine catalogs etc usually right at the counter.
