I'm at the pivot housing, and I can't get the cable housing brass nut to start turning to remove. Any tips? Heat. I soaked it with pb blaster. I', using a crowfoot, maybe I should just cut the housing and put a socket on there? TIA

It is best to use a box end wrench. The brass is pretty soft. If you dont have a wrench, clamp on the part the cable exits with a vice grip. Turn both the same direction at the same time.

Just so everyone knows. I cut the cable near the cable nut. Put a socket on it (it's 3/4) and it came right off. I pulled out the old cable, put dish soap on the new cable, and it inserted (yes it sounds dirty) with no problems.
