Can't Prime New Fuel Filters on Yamaha OX66...

This may be really stupid, but I replaced fuel filters on my new (to me) boat w/ 1998 250 OX66's, and can't prime the fuel system, between the priming bulbs and the priming pumps that the boat is equipped with. Spent several hours, before I do something really stupid, anyone know any tricks? <br /><br />Filters are racors w/ see thru bowls.

Take the filters back off, and fill them full of fuel, then re-install. They should then get to the bulbs instant almost

hold the primer so the arrow points to the sky, gravity will aid the check valves in them, did you replace the filter with identical part numbers?<br /> sometimes different filters will thread on the filter head but the oring wont seal on the macined pad. some pads are full width and some are not.

Did you put a little oil on the gasket(s) of these filters too? I use 2 stroke oil.<br /><br />Yes, fill up the filters and this will help for sure.
