Can't sleep, pacing the floor, boat inspected, wheel bearings greased, gear on board, munchies purchased, fillet knife sharpened, fresh batteries in camera. What am I forgetting? OCEAN SPORTFISHING SEASON OPENS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy, having a closed season must suck. We have a lull in the action in February but can't imagine being shut out.

so you dont fish during closed season? i bet you are anxious to go!

cant you just catch and release?? for instance, i like to fish for snook year round here in south FL... but there are only two short seasons. i generally catch and release even when they are in season.

If there weren't some kind of rules and regulations there wouldn't be any fish left at all!

Our ocean salmon fishing opens up here on June 12 for hatchery kings and July 1st for coho. Commercial trolling season for hatchery kings already opened, but it sounds like not many here are fishing much yet.

Well, now I know what I forgot. It was Thursday and the season opens Saturday.

This area is expected to re-open for recreational salmon fishing on May 29, 2010.

Only applies to Salmon we can fish for just about anything else (there are only a few exceptions for conservation purposes)

I live in So Cal was raise in No Cal I really miss the Salmon

After not having a salmon season in 08 and only 9 days in 09, I'm really ancious for the opening. I was able to go out fishing two days a week ago and was happy to see a couple of fish jump and lots of bait in the water. Now if the albicore come in this summer it will be a perfect season.
