Hi again,

So ive got my cap almost on after a full redo of transom and stringer. However , now that i'm trying to put it back together, my splashwell is keeping the cap from going on fully. Things I guess have become out of shape over the years. Do I redo a portion of the splash well or do i re do the rear steps and leave the splash well alone. I havent glassed in the transom yet so when i do,it will move the cap ever so sligbtly further back.My other concern is the gap from under neath at the corners from transom to splash well if I re do the steps. I'm using west system and 1708 and it's a glastron carlson cvx 16.
Thx Muchly,

Re: Cap Issues

your cap isnt on yet bud... it fits like a shoe box.

getting the cap on after much time and a new transom and deck can be a pain.....

put the transom on first as its the most solid part of the boat....

then take paint stir sticks.....and use them as wedges...try to get the nose on next, if you cant...just work around the boat and fit it into place...it will work !
