Just bought a used glav. trailer and i wanted to know the capacity of it.
1992 Calkins single axel about 16'-17' in lenght from end to end. Holds up to a 15' boat i would think.
Any way the id plate is unreadable. Is there a way to calculate & figure a capacity wt.??
Springs are 2-leaf if that helps.

Any help would be most appreciated

Take a CLOSE look at the axle and tires, those are going to be your primary limiting factors. There might be a number stamped in the axle somewhere.

Nothing stamped on the axle, tires are 4.80 - 12". I'm thinking 800-1000 lbs Does that sound like a good guess?

The tires will have a max load on the sidewall - no reason to guess
