So I just got my first boat about a month ago and have yet to hook up with anything worthwhile. I put in the canal a lot. Can someone point me to the fish in this area? Thanks.

Hi B.T.N. ! When I'm headed out fishing I'll always have my charts , To see where I'm going / most of the well known spots are shown ; a copy of THE FISHERMAN , for the tide listings and hotspots ;and a copy of " Fishing New England-A Boaters Guide to Cape Cod and The Islands" ; and the DFWL regs . The Info I get helps me plan where I'm going , color choice/style of lure and what I should target for fish .
The other trick is to ask the guys you buy your bait & tackle from as they will usualy pass on a good tip to keep customers smiling and spending . peter

Good luck !
PS -remember no boat fishing IN the canal !! lol

There's always some fishing going on in Bass River from the bridge out to West Dennis Beach.

Got a 42 incher off of sandy neck last sunday, however I spent 7 hours fishing and only had the one bite. There has to be more fish out there somewhere. Buzzards Bay???? Any tips?
