Well, been gone for awhile as I contemplated whether r not to go for my USCG OUPV Captains license....
Retirement was getting a little too dull, even though I seem to keep my plate full. Over the past several years I have taken lots of folks offshore and done a fair amount of fishing. Usually seem to do well on the spots I have.
My nephew just purchased a 32' Yellowfin and was wanting to offset the costs with a business....so he prompted me to join him and off we went!
First class scheduled for March 15th was cancelled. Our new class started May 18th and ran over several weekends...we finished on Sunday, June 3rd.
Scheduled the exam for this past Tuesday, but it was put off till yesterday. Went in and in about 3 hrs finished all modules, sand came away with my USCG OUPV Captains license!
Don't have a lot planned for it as yet..but want to move up to a little bigger rig and venture out to 100' regularly.
