Our center console has a car type 12V outlet, which was disconnected when we acquired the boat. As I recently improved the electric wiring, replaced all switches, all fuse holders, added a terminal block, etc, I would like now to reconnect that outlet in case I need it to power some portable device like a cd player, handheld spot light, cellular phone charger, etc.

¿What fuse size should I put for that outlet? (considering the uses mentioned above).

Thanks in advance,

The standard for those outlets ('Cigar Lighter') is 15A. That or anything less would suffice. If it's wired with anything less than 14 gauge wire, or a short run of #16, you should make it 10A. By 'anything less' I mean a smaller wire, which is a higher guage.
A cd player or a cell phone will never draw more than a couple amps. A light will draw amps = Watts / 12, so 10A for 120W, 15A for 180W.
Hope this helps!
