1989 Force 125, fresh rebuild
Just looking for any tips to make sure I am not running too lean, very nervous about that. My manual says:
turn mixture screws until lightly seated
back screws out one full turn
with motor warmed up, set controls to high-idle neutral
turn mixture screws slowly counterclockwise, until motor loses power and begins to roll due to a over rich mix and note position
slowly turn screws closed, clockwise, until motor runs smoothly and begins to pick up speed. Continue turning clockwise until motor pops or stalls due to a lean mix. Note this position
set screws between the 2 noted positions.
Now, I did all that, but I am very nervous about running too lean, I noticed a thread response from Frank that said don't go more than 3/4 turn past seated. If I am starting at 1 full turn out, I am allready past 3/4. It was a lot of fun rebuilding this last year, but not something I want to make a annual project
