I have a 1971 55hp Chrysler. I rebuilt carb. Frank gave me instructions on adjusting. After installing screw to seat lightly. I followed inst. unscrewed 1 1/2 and turned in 1/8 at a time. Found I almost had to screw it in all the way, then I started at same positon and unscrewed a total of 5 hole turns before anything. Then went midway. I still feel it is wrong. Is there any average place for screw position. Or any advice? Motor seems to run smooth now, but not sure if it is to lean or the oposite. I have the LU in a large can filled with water. When I put in gear it cut right off. Please see my other thread on adjustment of cables.
