Carb adjustments with multi carbs

I understand the process of adjusting the carb on an outboard by turning the mixture valve slowly to leantill it starts to sneeze, then back slowly to rich , then to a point between those two points, maybe a bit towards rich. My qestion is though, I have multiple carbs, do I do one, then the other or do I have to do them at the same time?

1. Start by seating the adjustment needles (gently).

2. Open each, to start, by the number of turns recommended by the manafacturer. Typically it's 1 1/2 turns.

3. Adjust each from there, with engine running. You'll here the difference. With a little practice, you'll ge the hang of it.

the best way i have found to adjust multiple carbs is with a air flow gage that goes over the air horn of the carb "it works on the princables of a flow bench " ive used them on motor bikes and snow machines alot , you just set you low speed idle mixture so all the carbs have the same gage reading and if your carbs have a hi speed mixture needle do the same at a higher rpm off of the idle circuit or if you can at your operating rpm is the best. this balances all your cylenders so thay are all working equal.
note this works best with an engine with cylinders cylenders of compression compretion and your right favor the rich mixture
