carb help please????

i have a johnson jw10 model number 1040362 i need a carb kit for it not sure though if i need a sierra kit or a mallory kit. its not staying idle n running rough if n e one can help i greatly appreciate it.

try these adjustments first. i believe you have high and low speed needles,

if this doesn't help, laingsoutboards.com has the correct kit, and the replacement floats.

Sierra 18-7043 or Mallory 9-37106 or OEM from a dealer 439071.
Our host, iboats has the Sierra and Mallory. But if you go to a dealer and get the OEM kit you will get a new alcohol-proof float with it. With today's ethanol gas you need it.

One added comment: "running rough"? Might not be the carburetor at all. Have you checked the ignition? Those motors all have bad coils unless they have already been replaced
