So, I was bored and felt like cleaning out my carbs. I removed the carb idle screws (2 carbs) and noticed that the tips are worn a bit. I would like to replace them but they appear to be NLA. Anything I can do? Can I resurface the tips?

Re: carb idle screw

Unless you have an extremely accurate tapering machine, you can not resurface them. They will give fits with adjustment. If you can re-grind them accurately and If you do not take off too much, then yes they can be repaired.

The needles are the same in all like carbs--ie. WB or TC so you can salvage needles from another set off a junker. I believe that the 100 HP had WB carbs so any WB from a 70-120 Chrysler or early Force (with needles in the same location--that is front or side) will fit. Careful on the 120 though Some had WB carbs and some had TC which is a much larger carb.
