When it comes time to tune up the boat this year...would it be benificial to also have the carb tuned as well? It ran great last year, but I have heard and have only heard, that tuning up the carb will give me better engine performance if done professionally. Any suggestions?

Re: Carb info..

We don't adjust the carbs in the spring intill the boat has been run because if there is a little varnish from winter and the customer runs the engine for a while it will usally go back to the fall mixture by it's self and be fine, if we change the mixture to compensate for the varnish it will not idle when the varnish is run out

Okay, once the boat has been run a few times...is there a great bit of difference having the carb tuned if it seems to be running fine? I bought this boat used. last year and it runs and sounds fine. I was wondering if it would run and respond even better if I had it tuned.

Thanks for the advise...I'm still trying to figure this boating thing out...in the aspect of boat engine vs. car engine.
