carb installation 6hp Johnson

Need hints on carb installation on 6hp Johnson. Carb to manifold nuts are in especially cramped space, and cam follower return spring usually takes me many tries to get it right. Removing no problem. Never thought my fingers were that big!<br /><br />Thanks guys.<br /><br />Bruce

I use long needle nose pliers to put the spring back on. The nut i remove the recoil rope starter to do mine. or you can start it with one of those cable type clamp things that when you push it out these little claws come out and grabs what ever you are after. You can start it with that and finish it up with a long punch to tighten.

Thx Bubba. I find that a 7/16 open end wrench will work on the carb nuts, bue I had not thot of the cable thingee to start them.
