Carb Kit.....

I have a 1989-90 Us Marine Force 50 hp. It has a Tillotson Carb and I was wondering what kit I need to take to the shop for them to rebuild. <br />I would like to get my own parts before taking carb to local boat shop.Trying to avoid the 50% mark up syndrome. I also have to take the carb off and bring it to them, they are afraid and will not work on anything that has the word Force attatched to it. Strange but true. Is there anything I must look for and be carefull not to damage while taking the carb off. Thanks for any help. Ps...Do I need to include the carb # , if so i will get back soon....Petey

Carb kit is pretty generic for the Walbro and the tillotson carb. After market kit is the sierra 18-7037(NAPA carries this). If you want original merc parts for it you can look here<br /> Merc Site You will need to search by model number for your motor.<br /><br />Good Luck

Let's see, you bring your own parts because you think theirs are too expensive, expect them to install parts you bring them (which may be of questionable quality) and -- oh yes, guarantee the work. Good Luck!
