Ok I have been reading the forums and have gotten advice. By the thanks to all. I have the service manual. Now I am ready to tackle the carb overhaul. There appears to be two different brands of carb kits listed here on iboats are they ok to use and is one better than the other.
Thanks Mark

Re: Carb Kits

we are always going to say the best is the BRP kit. but the aftermarkets are fine. i have used sierra without problems. if an older motor, consider the kit with the new float.

1984 v4 90hp the carb kits I looked at did not list float even seperately. Want to change floats and needle and seats too.

Re: Carb Kits

the motor has a plastic float, which they consider does not go bad. you should be ok with the float. older ment the motors with the cork floats.
