CARB No 432169 MX 07CM

I have a 1989 Evinrude 20HP that I am restoring. I was told by the previous owner that it was tweaked to a 25 or 30 HP. The intake has definitely been changed because it is white. I called the previous mechanic who said the recalls changing both carb and intake to a 30 HP.

I've looked at part diagrams and searched the carb tag no which reads as follows but cannot confirm what engine it went to.

Can anyone verify what HP the carb is for?

That's probably a casting number. A number of 25HP and 28HP motors used carburetor # 432168 in 1988 and 1989.

that last number may certainly be an "8" in lieu of a "9". its a aluminum tag and the last part of the last digit wasn't stamped well.
