Anybody know of where to find the list of actual parts inside rebuild kit. I ordered a 18-7010 carb kit for 33 hp Johnson. Looking it over when received, it comes with a picture of the exploded view of carb, and parts. But it does not tell you what parts are in it. i-boats says I have to call serria.
Any other parts suppliers that at least tell you whats in the kit ?
I wanted to work on the carb this weekend, but i dont see "packing" in it for the low and high speed needles. It looks as if the packing "washers" are in there, but not the "packing" Anyone else run into this ?

Thanks,
Michael

Re: carb parts kit

in case anyone else is interested.

Well,
I called Serria, and was told the 6 little washers are for the packing for the high and low speed needles. They do not look anything like the old lead/rope type that were in there. I want to make sure so the carb does not leak at these area's. I told them it would be helpful if they would list the parts,as it would make it a little easier.

Those should not leak but I had problems with mine, on my 5.5...found some OEM's and after a couple of tries mine quit leaking. Have seen other here have the same issue, so watch out, just in case.

Thanks for info JS
The reason I was concerned, is the drawing shows a "packing washer" and then a jamb nut washer, what I took to mean standard flat washer to butt up against the packing. Also on the main jet, at the bottom of the carb, I cleaned out the packing washer(s), and the last one had a bevel on one side to match the casting of the carb. The new ones do not have that.
I guessing the "newer" washer ( looks like cork) is capable of sealing the needle from leaking. Maybe the theory is the cork will swell slightly and "seal" the needle shaft.
