Carb Popping At Low Speed

Hello all i have a 45hp and the carburetor pops at low speed any ideas y. Any info would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

That might be a lean cough which is not good. Take the spark plugs out and look at the tips. Are they dry or wet? Might want to back out the carburator set screw about an eighth turn to make it run a little richer. Would not hurt to do a decarb on the motor as well.

Is it a constant pop at all speeds ,or just under load?Could be plugs,possible lean carb , could you give us some more info?

Does it go away as the rpm increases? If so, you may have bent reeds.
