Well I know nothing about the Mallory carb, but if your asking for opinions I'll choose OEM over anything aftermarket, even if it's a rebuild, only because it's an engineered match and would require less tinkering to get it performing, edlebrock holley mallory ect. out of the box carbs are a crapshoot on how well they work without tinkering with jets and pumpshots dispersal nozzles stuff like that is already engineered into the OEM carb.
