carb question

At the present time I am running a 5.7L (350) with a Quad Jet. If I keep her under the secondaries I can cruise nicely at 18-20 MPH about 3000 RPM. Since I own a small cruiser, speed is not so much a factor as range (economy)<br /><br />What I want to know would I get the same proformance (on step, at/about 20 MPH) with a duce? Right now I can get between 2.2 and 2.5 MPG but once on the secondary that all goes away.

A small CFM 2 bar yes, but will you get on plane.<br />I guess thats your question.<br />It is easier to go from 4V to 2V than 2V to 4V.<br />The problem is the primaries on a Q Jet are<br />small. Average 2V are large. So you would flow<br />more CFM and more fuel.<br />Good Question. I have no practical Experience,<br />Sorry
