Hey, my motor when going into gear and sometimes at idle, stalls. I have decarbed the best i know how, so i guess i need to do a carb rebuild. Just wondering who else has done this, and if it is very hard? I was looking at it the other day and it doesnt seem super hard.

Carb rebuilds are generally easy to do......no rocket science involved. Main thing is, soak the carbs out good in carb cleaner and follow up with compressed air. Install new kits and be sure to set the float levels.

On the other hand.....stalling at idle could just be a signal that the sync and link is out of whack. Got an OEM manual?

Hey StratMan, I have a factory manual that covers the '88 and '89 150XP and 175XP. If you don't have one, I could probably get you the info about the sync and link that OBJ was telling you about.
