Carb rebuild Question?

Hey,
I'm a novice at outboard repair but am learning. I have a 1976 Johnson Seahorse 85 hp. Does anybody know if rebuilding the carbs on this motor is the same process that "Tashasdaddy" mentioned under Engine frequently asked questions??? And if so what is the special tool that I need and does an automotive shop have one?
Thanks for the advice

Jet removal tool. You can grind a flat bladed screwdriver to do the same job. TD or someone else has posted what it needs to look like ... basically the two sides are ground parallel and narrow enough to not damage the jet. Maybe someone will post a picture before I find and photograph one of mine.

Not too likely an auto shop would have this.

the picture is in the TOP SECRET FILE post. the basics are the same, but you will be working a dual carb, your jets are on each side of the carb, rather than the front. behind screws, and washers.

Jet removal tool. 317002. $ 19.97 from your local Bombardier dealer. A really handy tool.
