I'm working with. 5.0l ow345702 , the carb is stamped 866142,31-5325. I picked up a merc rebuild kit from the dealer, I noticed the need for the idle mixture is a little longer than the old one and the accelerator pump is a little longer than than the old one. The dealer states I do have the correct kit, any thoughts before assembled, rebuild kit number is 19032cm.

Idle mixer screw I don't see an issue so long as it screws in, the needle point is where mixing comes in. The accelerator pump in your pic looks shorter the the old, but I can not see the length of the arm. Overall I don't see anything that would make me not use it.

Thanks,, sorry about the pic, the two pumps in the pic are lined up with the each other at the bottom of the pump rods , the difference in the height is what is shown in the pic.

K9Deuce, After really looking at the two accelerator pump plungers, I see the new one actually having a little larger capacity then the older design. However, If either were pushed down the same amount there would flow equally. But if there were more downward plunge, the new one would flow more fuel... So I don't think you will have any issues... JMHO!
