Does the standard rebuild carb kits come with those round brass plugs? The carbs are wet and gas setting around them.
Thanks Rod

Re: Carb rebuild question

I agree, we need more info....the only thing round and brass in my carbs are the removable jets. If that is what you are talking about..no, they don't come in a carb kit..you purchase them separately.

Type/year of motor and more of a description would probably help.

Cheers.

Re: Carb rebuild question

I think he is talking about the round brass or aluminum freeze plugs that cover some of the orifice junctions in some carbs. Generally you don't need to remove them unless they are leaking or you have some serious crud problems. If necessary they can be removed and new ones installed by tapping the center to seat them. I don't know if they are included in a standard rebuild kit. Ask the dealer who supplies the kit.

Re: Carb rebuild question

My Sierra carb kit came with a selection of replacement plugs, soft aluminium slightly dished, you push them in convex side out, and tap the middle with a punch to flatten and fix them in place.
