carb rebuild time

I have a johnson 25 ..mod # 25R76E and the carb kit came in the mail today is there any thing i need to know before i take the carb off the motor as far as linkage adjustments ..do i need to mark any thing to get it back togeather in the same place ?
i have rebuilt carbs on lawn mowers and a few cars in th past is there any thing i will run into with this carb that will be much different ?

The carburetor is a fairly simple component, nothing vastly complicated. However..... make notes and take pictures before and as you dismantle until you get the hang of it. Do not trust anything to memory because as good as your memory is.... you will forget some simple little thing that will drive you nuts.

Be sure to manually clean the brass high speed jet that is located in the bottom center of the carburetor float chamber. Use a piece of single strand steel wire as solvent simply doesn't do the job properly.

u-tube and watch a video theres lots of good ones on boat carbs. my only advise is try not dropping the nuts and washers as there a pain in the butt to fish out of the cowl

+1 on taking pictures...unless you like struggling to remember how the linkages go back together.
