carb rebuild

I need to re-build carb on 1966 33 hp johnson. I looked at i-boats to order re-build kit, but the serria does not seem to offer a float with it. I am getting gas out of carb upon start up, so the needle an seat are probably shot. Does standard rebuild normally require a new float or just adjustment ?
I am also going to replace all fuel lines.

laingsoutboards.com has the float, it also comes in the OEM part kit. it is a cork float.

Thanks for the info, didn't see the original carb rebuild kit with a float though.
