carb rebuild

1991 evinrude 60 hp 3 cylinder. carbs need rebuilding, i have rebuilt carbs on my cars alot, so could i probably get away with doing my outboards carbs too ? trying to save the $ 450.00 they want to do it..

of course you can. just take your time and you'll do fine. You could even take pictures as you take them apart. Heck, if I can do it, you can do it.

Two stroke carbs are very simple to rebuild. Just besure sure to CLEAN them real good. Use compressed air on them also.

It takes longer to get them off the engine than to rebuild them.

Go for it! They're a lot simpler that an 800cfm Holley Quadrajet! Take pics in case you should need our help! They come in REALLY handy, trust me.:redface:
