I just got myself a 1991 Force 70HP put on my boat. It has a "B" model number for the year, I'm not in front of it but I think its 706F91B. I read somewhere here that the 6 means non-power trim, but this unit has power trim. Anyway my big question is where can I get the carb rebuild kit, it seems this motor's kit is not on the list any of the common places I've looked. I have no particular reason to rebuild the carbs (or replace the impeller for that matter) but I've always felt doing the common maintenance on any outboard you purchase that doesn't still have factory tags on it is always the best bet to have a happy relationship with your new motor for some time.

Also, in replying if anyone else has this motor 1991-1995 i think it was made, anything you could tell me about it as far as performance, fuel economy etc would be great. I'm putting it on a 15 foot Cobia Trihull. My old 85 HP JohnyRude ate a ring, hence the replacement.

Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can say is that your old OMC 85 was about 99 cubic inches swinging a larger prop. The 70 is somewhere around 72 cubes. Even the lighter weight of the 3 cylinder 70 will not offset the loss of 4 cylinder torque and more cubes. So, don't be disappointed in the loss of speed.
