Carb Removal

To make my life a little easier, what do I have to remove to get to my 3 carb bolt sets, any help would be great. 68 merc 1000 reband.<br />cheers

Tengal,<br /><br />Best place to start is a good shop manual. They tell you all the things that need to be removed in order to remove other things.<br /><br />Chris..........

thanks achris for your reply. Great to know another aussie here. I have a manual clymer it does not explain the part removal to get at the carbs. Anyway I got them off. Not too difficult, just hope I know where everthing goes back on. :) <br /><br />cheers

tengals, you will have to remove the hand starter, electric starter and dist. to get to some of the carb. fastening nuts.
