Hi All,
so another question relating to my 1962 Sportwin 10HP, but hopefully it relates to a bunch of other motors.
I'm in the process of setting up my carb after a rebuild, and I've read the very useful guide of the similar carb that a couple of people on here recommended.
However, my motor has a simple bolt that adjusts how much the throttle is allowed to drop back, ie. the more you tighten the bolt, the higher that the motor will idle. Unscrewing the bolt drops the rev rate accordingly.
Having fiddled with this bolt, I now don't know where the idle was set before, so I don't have a starting point for tuning the carb, I can't figure out which order I need to do things. How low do I drop the idle before adjusting the carb? I have it set to the recommended starting point, but I don't know whether to adjust the carb or the idle first?
I have a feeling that there will be a fairly obvious answer...
Thanks a lot guys,
Edd
