Hey all, I have a 1959 35hp johnson(super seahorse) and a 1963 40hp evinrude. Will the carbs swap ok? The 40hp has a choke assembly on the left as you face the engine from inside the boat. I don't think it is electric but works off vaccuum from engine( I think ). The 35hp has been rebuilt recently and the 40hp has been sitting for a while and leaks out the front as I attempt to start it. Don't want to rebuild the carb unless the two won't swap. Any help is appreciated. I must say the learning is fun largely because of all the help available on this forum.
