was crusing down the lake and went into the no wake zone and it was running wide open even when i put in neutral so i killed it, went to the back and took the cover off the motor, and as soon as i lifted it off, the rod that connects all 3 carbs throttles fell right into 40 ft of water. I tried idling back, but a storm was coming up behind me. i pulled into a dock and made my friend run me down a coat hanger. i made a makeshift rod to get me back to where i dock. it was lightning all over, almost was hit. 30 mph in a no wake zone is something i will never forget.. so my question... where can i get this part that i can get it very quick... i must spend as much time on the water as i can before school starts. Last time i ordered off of evinrude it took 2 1/2 weeks to get here. So what do you reccomend for getting the part as fast as i can? thanks. and sorry if this thread dosent belong here.. im still pretty shook up from that.. haha
