You can spray carb cleaner into the carb throat, but that will only clean the carb throat, and not fix your problem. Mix 1 gal of fresh fuel with a can of Seafoam, and run that thru the motor. Run 1/2 of it and let her sit a day. Run the rest, and then take her out and run her at cruising speed.
It will smoke like heck, but it might (might) fix the issue, by cleaning the carb innerds. It will usually kill some mosquitoes as well.
