Carbon Buildup

I just pulled the lower unit on my 75hp Evinrude, when I tool a look up the inner exhaust tube I noticed a lot of carbon build up. Should I try to clean the carbon out, if so what would be the best method.

that's very normal in a 2 cycle. i'd just do a decarb, sea foam deep creep, after you get it back together.
