carbs flooding

hello i have a 70hp merc 84-86 year that has been idle for a year the problem i have is the bottom carb is spitting fuel i replaced the float. and the needle and seat. i also blew out all the passages with carb <br />cleaner is there something that i may have missed?

Did you adj. the float? if its blow back from the carb,its possable to have bent/broken reeds.

float is new adjusted to new specs with float. if the choke passage is blocked would that flood carb

If you are sure you rebuilt the carb correctly, like Ben said, that is a symptom of a bad reed,

wait brain poot. i decribed the problem incorrectly the carb is not spitting fuel out the carb fuel is spitting out of the venturi and nozzle sorry i was up late lastnight
