This is just out of curiosity. I have an 85 Evinrude 25hp. I just recivied my repair manaul. Thanks to iboats. Anyway I rebuilt my carb before i had the manual works fine. I discovered that according to the manual my motor should have a type II carb. The one thats on it is a type IV. When I got the carb rebuild kit it was for the one thats on it. Just wondering if this was a misprint in the manual or something they changed later maybe its had the carb replaced and the the type III is obsolute.
