carburator gas leak?

hey guy i have a 1970 merc 9.8 with a side bowl carburator.. and ive noticed a tiny drop leak where the arm of the throttle valve comes down to the bottom of the carburator (with the spiral spring on it)
is this normal to have some gas dripping like this? in small amounts i figured it will be ok because its a moving part and it might not be sealed all to well... is this a concern? or is it normal?

I have a 1979 and it has the same problem. I just posted the same question the other day with no responses. Hopefully this post will get some.

sounds like minor flooding. could be an old, satcherated float in the carb. I'd put one on order and wouldn't sweat it.
