I have a 1982 Mercury outboard 40 hp does anyone know what carburetor kit number I need to purchase to rebuild my carburetor

Not much goes wrong with these simple carburetors.------Running issues with your motor ?

Not really that I know of, has not been started in 3years, turns over real good just thought the carb. would have sludge in it, .the fuel filter had sludge in it just from sitting.

If there is 'Sludge' in the filter, there is probably the same stuff in all the fuel lines including the hose and probably in the tank.

Yes, I’m in the process of changing out all fuel lines and cleaning out tanks, anything to do with fuel I’m been working on replacing or repairing.
