I have a Yamaha 2008 25 MSH that is hard starting. Went through the plugs, fuel filter, etc with no improvement. I noticed the arm controlled by the twist throttle does not interact with the carburetor linkage when in the start position. Contact with and the movement of the linkage starts when the throttle is well advanced. I adjusted the arm so that the linkage is moved a little when in start and the motor starts easily. Is this an appropriate adjustment? What is the normal location of this arm? There is a lot of adjusting room.
